I love my dog. Most people who know me would probably say that’s one of the biggest understatements they’ve heard… so I’ll be honest and say I adore my dog. Sammy. He’s a member of the family. He goes for runs with me and my husband, greets us when we come home, and plays with my children. So, when I go on vacation, I cringe at the thought of leaving him at home whimpering, drinking stale water and being baby sat by my friends (who I love dearly, but they just can’t give him the attention that he needs).

This was before I discovered the many pet friendly hotels, motels, and home rentals around the country. It takes a little bit of research before we set out on our family vacation, but no matter where we want to go, there are accommodations that will take in Sammy, too.
