Air Travel With Pets
Statistically, air travel is the safest way to reach your destination. But how do you go about bringing your pet with you if you are traveling by plane? Flying with your pet is not advisable but sometimes it is necessary especially if you need to arrive somewhere at the soonest possible time.
When flying with your pet, you need to adhere to some guidelines and restrictions imposed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the airline you’re checking in. Some of these guidelines have something to do with your pet’s age and typically, your pet must be at least eight weeks old. The pet should also be in good condition and not suffering from poor health. Flying can be a traumatic experience for some pets and so you need to be sure they are fully comfortable. Place blankets, towels, or toys in their cage and make sure the cage is properly marked with your identifications.
